The road to your happy healthy body will be pathed with imperfections and that’s quite alright.
In fact, once you accept this nugget of truth, then the sooner you will be able to drop all of the BS pressure you place on yourself around your body.
I got to thinking about this as I went to check in with my clients this week.
There were a few posts in my member's group going something along the lines of ‘my movement and eating have been so much better though it hasn’t been perfect’
We lose the ability to feel good about the progress that is being made by stating that we are less than perfect, that maybe we are in some way flawed.
Though I never want my clients to get hung up on perfect, comments like that one actually really make me happy as they come to a space of acceptance.
Because I’ll let you in on a secret…… you don’t need to be perfect to get results. And you striving for perfection actually just sucks all of the joy out of your journey.
You only really need to be that little bit better than you were doing previously.
