Really interesting take on this. I was actually watching his interview with Graham Stephan and wilst watching it, as I saw he lives and sleeps at his studio and his insane work ethic. He talked about working so hard and in the moments he's not working that he feels depressed. I couldn't help but think what a therapist would have to say about that??
I know we all want to succeed and have more money and freedom. But he could already have all of that, so what is it really that he is trying to fulfill? Becuase my guess is that thing he is trying to feel has nothing to do with money or success.
I then went on to listen to Gabor Mate's interview with Joe Rogan (which is an exellent listen, highly reccomend) where he talks about addiction and it's relation to trauma. A lot seemed to really click into place.
I totally agree with working hard, but that level to me just doesn't make sense. It doesn't actually bring happiness or fulfillment, we often just get left always wanting more.
I suppose I have a different perspective as a wife and a mother, I literally cannot and will not push myself to burnout to the detriment to my family. But then again, maybe that is what it takes to achieve those insane levels of success??
