It is indeed a beautiful country. I live very close just by the French boarder. We pop over every now and then but not too often because of the expense. But the Swiss can afford it as they also have a much higher average pay than most countries.

Luckily our lakes and mountains on the French side are just as beautiful. But mountains and tourist resorts in general will always command a higher price.
