Super Simple Winter Warmer Recipe

It’s the time of year when cold and flu are rife. This is a super simple recipe that will add some flavour to your water and essential minerals into your body to keep your immune system supported.

Drink first thing in the morning cold and it will also support your digestive system when you drink before breakfast or drink any time through the day with hot water. This is my personal go-to any time I feel the slightest scratch in my throat.

Lemon as it’s packed with vitamin C, iron, magnesium, calcium and potassium.

Cayenne gives the drink a bit of a kick, but I think it always feels a little medicinal. Cayenne is known to improve circulation, suppress inflammation and give relief with congestion.

Ginger for its powerful inflammation properties, supportive with digestion and improves immune response.

Try this recipe:

  • 1 cup of lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 4 cups of hot water

Put it all into a jar or mug and mix well, you can then use this as your concentrate (strain if you don’t want as many bits in) store it in the refrigerator and then add hot or cold water…
