I have been with my husband for 25 years and as we have 2 kids, our finances certainly have crossovers. We only recently ever got a joint bank account. As when we first moved to france it was just easier. The french paper work is insane!!! But we still like to keep things separate when we can. Though my husband is the main earner, I still like to have my own money.
