I have been doing this too, but working on finding the right formula. As pons that go direct to blog posts don't seem to be converting that well. My most popular and viral pins are generally quote pins.

So what I'm working on is pulling quotes out of my blog posts, creating quote images and then linking them that way back to the original post.

I'm still testing things out to see what works best over there.
