I also prefer to work in the mornings and have got up at 5 for years. But recently as I’m getting older (the grand age of 38) I’m finding that I do need more sleep and have reverted to getting up at 6.

It seems to be working better for me at this stage of my life as I sometimes do have evening work even though it’s not my optimal time.
