I agree with you in that more studies need to be done. In this article I was reffering to fasting spcifically for weight loss in women. I can hand on heart say that as a coach it's not a method I will advise to women as I believe sensible eating and calorie control can bring similar results without having to put the added stress of fasting on the female body.
