You can’t cheat your way to the top and just tune out of the crappy bits. If you want to make improvements to your life you must be willing to sit in discomfort.

In the discomfort is where most people want to check out, to tune out, to avoid what’s going on within, to give up and get off the success train.

Yet it’s these exact moments that will become the forks in the road of your journey. The decisions you make because of the most challenging times you face will either keep you exactly where you are if you avoid facing them. Or they will create the strength within you that your next level requires.

A good analogy is to look at the pretty common occurrence of what happens when most people set about with their new health and fitness goals.

You start out all excited and motivated ready to change your health for good. Then, maybe 3 weeks in that motivation is flailing. You start telling yourself that you are tired, that the workouts are too tough, you don’t have the time, you are bored with your eating, you don’t have the self-discipline, it starts to feel HARD and you aren’t a size 0 already…
