Ditch The Overwhelm And Step Back Into Action

Overwhelm!!!

A thing that we all get faced with at times of stress, worry, the feeling of everything all being a little too much.

I can’t cope, and so instead I’ll do nothing. Overwhelm, followed by a good ole dose of procrastination. Nothing better to send you into a sea of frustration and self-punishment.

I believe that our feelings are always brought to guide us, and the process of moving through it first starts with that level of self-awareness, to be able to notice just what is happening. Once you have been able to acknowledge it, here four simple steps I practice to start moving through the feelings and to overcome it.

This practice helps me to manage stress levels, stay effective, but also feel happy and energised rather than drained and wiped out. It’s only when you can release the overwhelm, that you can step back into action.

My work on my mindset and with my energy levels will ALWAYS start with taking a big long deep breath, or maybe even five. Hand on heart, intentionally taking long deep inhalations to slow down your breathing rate.

When you are up in your head and your heart is beating fast you feel rushed, you feel the pressure it can be hard to think logically.
